Trish brings with her a wealth of experience from throughout the food retail market. Most recently with the National Trust where profitability rose by 7%, customer satisfaction by 10% and an overall increase in spend per head. She developed and implemented a range of initiatives to significantly improve the operational delivery.
Trish’s role with the Garden & Leisure Group will involve the expansion of the already popular and profitable Terrace Café restaurants within each of the seven garden centres. She will develop and manage all aspects in terms of food and beverage, sales and profitability, quality and service standards as well as team development.
Carol Paris, Group Operations Director commented, “Over recent years, we have seen enormous growth in restaurant sales. Garden centre cafés are no longer just a pit stop for a quick slice of cake and cup of tea and we are seeing increasing numbers looking for quality breakfasts, lunches and dinners at affordable prices in a tranquil and relaxing setting. It was therefore imperative we found the right person who could carry this side of the business forward. We are delighted with the acquisition of Trish who has an excellent background and proven track record. I’m confident she will seamlessly fit into the business and be extremely successful for us.”
