The Pet & Aquatics Team at Cadbury Garden & Leisure were thrilled to win the Gold for the Greatest Pets & Aquatics Sales Team at the Greatest Awards held at the National Motorcycle Museum on June 21st in Birmingham. The Garden & Leisure Group were also finalists in four other categories.
Overall, the Pet and Aquatics Department at Cadbury has seen a remarkable year, with innovation, improved customer service and growing sales across its various areas. The continued flair for display and passion for livestock has also contributed to a fantastic year for the team and their contribution to The Garden and Leisure Group.
The Gold Award was accepted by Sarah Green, Cadbury’s Pet & Aquatics Manager. She said: “Our team have worked very hard in developing the Department, so it’s great to have this publicly recognised. We have extended the Department, really focussed on stronger interaction between customers and staff, and inspired much higher levels of staff training.”
Just recently, new tanks were also installed in the Aquatics Department, and, since the development, fish sales have increased by 35% - which exceeded all expectations.
“We have also introduced new initiatives, including ‘Professional Dog Grooming’ every Saturday and Sunday, and a collaboration with local Veterinary Group Watkins and Tasker, which means that customers buying livestock automatically get a voucher for a free health check,” added Sarah. “Future plans include a series of ‘clinics’, where staff from Watkins and Tasker will give talks on a variety of subjects, such as children and pet care, handling pets, puppy parties – and weight control seminars for obese animals.”
The Garden & Leisure Group were also finalists in the following categories:
Wild Bird Care (10 finalists including Cadbury and Huntingdon); Pets & Aquatics (10 finalists including Barnett Hill, Cadbury, Endsleigh and Melbicks); Garden Care (10 finalists including Cadbury) and Outdoor Leisure (10 finalists including Cadbury and Huntingdon).
