Carol Paris, Garden & Leisure's Operations Director, is "thrilled and tremendously honoured" to have been elected President of The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA). Carol replaces Caroline Owen who stepped down from the role after 2 years and was awarded the HTA Pearson Memorial Medal – the same award Carol herself won a year ago. Carol commented that she has "always admired the way that the HTA keeps at the forefront of new thinking, providing us with guidance and inspiration to exploit new opportunities" and that "HTA News has become something of a bible of good practice and guidance."

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is the trade association for the UK garden industry. It is dedicated to helping develop the industry and its member businesses, including most garden centres and other garden retailers, growers, landscapers, manufacturers and suppliers.
