  • POTTING BENCH DEMO: A series of talks on a wide range of gardening topics. 2.00om-3.00pm

3rd August

  • FREE KIDSCLUB WORKSHOP: Grow Your Own Pea. Children will get the chance to learn more about gardening and get their hands dirty! 11.00am - 1.00pm.
  • COUNTRY CRAFT FAIRS: Join us to discover a unique range of hand-made jewellery, arts, crafts, gifts and more, all produced by local artists and crafters. 10.30am to 4.00pm in the Terrace Cafe, Terrace Room.

9th August

  • FREE CRAFT DEMONSTRATION: DoCraft Cardmaking with Helen Brill. Held in the craft department from 11am – 4pm. These free classes provide you with all the knowledge and materials needed to brush up on your skills or learn a new hobby!
  • RECLAIMED PINE FURNITURE EXHIBITION: View and buy a unique collection of reclaimed pine furniture, The Constable Collection by ‘Made in a Stable’.

20th August

  • GUIDED WALK WITH BOB BUCK: A local walk to discover the local flora and wildlife. Meet at 9.45am in the Terrace Café, returning by 1pm in time for a special buy1 get1 half price lunch offer. Arrive early and enjoy a buy 1 get 1 free tea or filter coffee between 9-10.30am. Walks are free but a £3 donation to St George’s Flower Bank local nature reserve is welcomed.

  • FREE FACEPAINTING: Provided especially for our customers, in our Bank Holiday bonanza! Come and have your face painted for free at our Potting Bench, in the Festival Hall. 11am-1pm.

  • FREE GLITTER TATTOOS: Provided especially for our customers, in our Bank Holiday Bonanza! Come and get your free glitter tattoo at our Potting Bench, in our Festival Hall. 11am-3pm.

  • FREE GARDENING TALK: Tropicals, impact planting and creating a wow factor. Still plenty of time in the season to have some fun in the garden. Tropical, big and leafy, bold and striking, hot colours mirroring the hot temperatures. Create a wow! Ideas and help in creating that tropical look. Bring your orchids along for advice and help with cultivation in layman’s terms. There is no great mystery to growing orchids!
